What I remember most about Andy was how chivalrous he was in a world that had all but forgotten about old values and manners. He was such a gentleman and a suave city boy too. I can see how well you all fit together.

Grrrlfriend Jess

You know what is so beautiful about this? You've helped me - a complete stranger - feel like I know someone very special. That, my friend is a tribute. Peace.

You have a beautiful way with words, MD. Thank you.

I read your tribute last year and this year I thought of you and your friend, Andy. Thank for sharing him with the rest of us.

Black Belt Mama

What a beautiful letter to your friend. Somehow I just know he's reading it.

This is the second time I have been here and read your letter to Andy... it is so lovely and personal and I feel honored you shared it and him, with us.

Nothing I say will be as perfect as that letter.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Very touching, as usual MD. I lost my college roommate, Mary Lou Hague, 26, in the WTC and you expressed so many of my feelings it's almost freaky . . .

Nicely done.

That was the most moving tribute I have ever read. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks for sharing that, Pierre. It was perfect.

This is my first time visiting your blog and what a post to read. That is a very open and honest and very, very touching letter. I'm sorry for the loss of Andy and for all who died that day. Thank you for helping us remember someone as more than just a name. They all deserve that.
